Give Your Child a Lifelong Love of Music, Without Adding Another Thing to Your Plate

High-quality, private piano lessons from an experienced, caring teacher, delivered live over Zoom, right from your living room.

Why Parents Choose Blossom Piano Studio

You want your child to have a well-rounded education and the chance to discover their own unique skills and passions. You also don't have hours to spend driving to and from lessons every week.

I get it. As a mother of six, I built this studio around exactly that problem: how to give kids real, high-quality piano instruction without asking already-busy families to sacrifice more time and energy to make it happen.

With live virtual lessons, your child gets personal, one-on-one instruction from an experienced teacher, and you get your evenings back.

What Your Child Will Learn

  • 30, 45, or 60-minute weekly lessons (45 minutes recommended for 4th grade and up)

  • Ages 5 and up, beginner through advanced

  • A classical pedagogical approach: technique, repertoire, and music theory in every lesson

  • Personalized practice plans your child can actually stick to

  • Weekly, achievable goals so progress feels real, not overwhelming

  • Periodic goal assessments and progress reports, so you always know how they're doing

Beyond the Weekly Lesson

  • Free group piano classes, offered twice a month for all current students, where kids meet other young musicians, play musical games, and learn about music history together

  • Two remote recitals a year (December and May), watch-party style over Zoom, so friends and family can celebrate progress together

  • Optional Royal Conservatory of Music exams, for students who want an extra goal to work toward (not required, and never pressured)

  • Additional performance opportunities as students are ready: recordings shared in the studio newsletter, and coaching toward talent shows, open-mic nights, and community performances

Is Remote Really as Effective as In-Person?

Yes. Over Zoom, we use two cameras, one on the hands and one on the face, so I can see everything I'd see in person and still build a real, personal connection with your child.

You don't need to be tech-savvy. I'll walk you through exactly how to set up your devices before your first lesson.

Practice, Made Manageable

A younger beginner can expect to practice about 10–15 minutes a day, 5–6 days a week. A more advanced student might work up to 45–60 minutes a day.

Every student gets a personalized practice plan, built around their age, level, and what they can realistically fit into family life.

"We enjoyed Blossom Piano Studio. Catherine teaches theory and technique from the start in a positive and encouraging environment for young learners. She gets to know her students' personalities and gives thoughtful, precise critiques and constructive suggestions during each lesson. Daily practice assignments between courses help students make consistent and meaningful progress without overwhelming young learners and their parents. My 9-year-old loves her weekly lessons! I definitely recommend for anyone who wants to develop their child's love of music without feeling like they're adding another duty to the family list."
